Eleven years ago Global Bunker Inspections B.V. was born. Maurice van Dijk started this company after years of experience, gained by working for major inspection companies. He has seen over more than a thousand vessels and uncountable barges.
After years of service in the field as cargo and bunker surveyor, STS supervisor and expeditor, he found his ambition in starting his own business. Today, eleven years later, Maurice build up a well respected business.                         With a small group of experienced surveyors GBI protects her clients interests at all times.

Quantity and quality are not the most important keywords. Safety is one of them as well. Though we are using certified equipment and proper personal protection gear, it does not stop just there. A safe solas access to the barges by gangway,
manifold check and securing the bunkerhose also come along with safety.

Especially working with VLSFO brings a lot responsibilities. On regular basis we encounter unsafe working areas with this fuel. We monitor advise and adjust if necessary.

Our responsibility goes further than the service we offer.

As important the quantity on board of the receiving vessel is, the weight/quality of the product is at least that important. Offenly the bqs does not come standard with taking care of the sampling. With respect we also ensure a representative
sample will be drawn and countersealed by surveyor, which can be offered for lab services. A continuous drip sample at least is required, we can assure you that during the entire bunker operation we will take care of a representive
sample.
